The Proposal
It was May 21, 2004 - the day both of them will never forget, the most romantic date they had ever in their life that touched and moved Ging's heart so much and made her teary-eyed!
It seemed the world stopped for a moment when Craig knelt down and reached Ging's hands. Out from his hands came a bright glitter from a tiny white box. As he opened the box, the first few words that came from his mouth were very clear..."WILL YOU MARRY ME?"
Ging was stunned, with mouth and eyes wide open!...it seemed her heart stopped beating for a while, then she felt her eyes were getting blurry. Tears felt down her cheeks, but happy :). For a few minutes, she gained back her composure.
Craig is such a man full of surprises, and it was a very SPECIAL surprise. Of course, what could Ging say more? She said "YES!!!
Some call their story a whirlwind romance, some say why that fast? Many speculations and doubts were around them but it was only both of them who knew the real answer. They are both in love! For Craig and Ging, the length of a "getting to know each other" stage is not the real issue. It's choosing the right person, at the right time in God's perfect timing. How would you know it? you may ask...they call it "God's whispers". If you only try to listen to His whispers, you know it's the right one ;). God knows better. They both prayed for the right one, and God gave them each other.

The Engagement Rings
Ging has two engagement rings. The above photo was the ring that she wore the day she got engaged...the symbol of commitment. The ring is with a 1.5k diamond on top of an 18k gold ring. It's now the ring that she uses everytime she visits Philippines :).
The second photo is the ring topped with a 2.09k beautifully crafted diamond embedded on a 14k gold ring. Craig took care of it and had it insured in the US for security reasons :). Since the cut was done in the US, he brought it to the Philippines to get the real fit for Ging on September 3, 2004, same ring that Ging used during the wedding ceremony. It was perfect... and priceless! It was only brought to the Philippines twice - during Ging's fitting and when they got married!
